Punjab Prisons Department Internship Program for Psychologists

The Punjab Prisons Foundation has announced an exciting Internship Program for Psychologists in the Punjab Prisons Department. Internship Program Overview

  • Duration: 6 months
  • Stipend: PKR 25,000 per month
  • Eligibility:
    • Age: Minimum 22 years and Maximum 26 years
    • Qualification:
      • Candidates must hold an M.Sc. in Psychology or an equivalent degree from an HEC-recognized university.
      • Preference will be given to applicants holding a Diploma in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology and fresh graduates who completed their degrees in the last 2 years.

The internship program offers 74 posts in various jails and correctional facilities across Punjab. Below is a summary of duty stations and the number of available posts:

  • Central Jail, Lahore: 3 posts
  • Central Jail, Gujranwala: 3 posts
  • District Jail, Kasur: 2 posts
  • District Jail, Faisalabad: 3 posts
  • Central Jail, Rawalpindi: 3 posts
  • District Jail, Multan: 2 posts
  • District Jail, Sargodha: 2 posts
  • District Jail, D.G. Khan: 2 posts
  • District Jail, Vehari: 2 posts
  • Additional locations include Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, and more.

The total number of posts for each district varies between 1 and 3, with positions available in urban and rural jails to ensure a diverse professional experience.

How to Apply

Candidates interested in applying for the internship program must follow the steps below:

  1. Prepare Required Documents:
    • Attested copies of CNIC, domicile, educational certificates, and two passport-sized photographs.
  2. Submit Applications:
    • Applications must be submitted to the office of the Secretary General Punjab Prisons Foundation, located at 19-Ferozepur Road, LOS Stop, Lahore.
  3. Application Deadline:
    • The last date to apply is 16 January 2025.
  4. Important Notes:
    • Only applicants residing in the respective districts will be eligible for positions in their local jails.
    • Incomplete applications or submissions after the deadline will not be entertained.
