Pakistan Ordnance Factories Artisans Jobs 2024 for Diploma and Matric Pass

The Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) invites applications from male and female citizens across Pakistan for Batch No. 56 (2nd Phase) under the Artisan Training Scheme. This program aims to provide specialized training at the Pakistan Ordnance Factories Institute of Technology (POFIT), Wah Cantt, under the Apprenticeship Ordinance of 1962.

Seat Distribution

The program offers a total of 150 seats distributed across provinces and regions as follows:

• Punjab: 75 (Urban: 11, Rural: 17)
• Sindh: 11 (Urban: 11, Rural: 17)
• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 17
• Balochistan: 09
• Ex-FATA: 05
• Gilgit-Baltistan: 02
• Azad Kashmir: 03

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for this prestigious training program, candidates must meet the following requirements:

1. Qualification:
   • Matriculation with Science (Minimum 2nd Division).
   • Additional weightage of 10% will be given to FSc students with Physics and Mathematics, as well as DAE pass candidates.
2. Age:
   • The candidate must be between 17 to 21 years as of December 2, 2024.
3. Training Duration:
   • The training period is 1.5 years.

Payment of Stipend During Training

During the training period, participants will receive a monthly stipend as follows:

• First Semester (6 months): 50% of BPS-5 (Rs. 7,615/month).
• Second Semester (6 months): 60% of BPS-5 (Rs. 9,138/month).
• Third Semester (6 months): 80% of BPS-5 (Rs. 12,184/month).

Application Submission Procedure

Candidates must follow these guidelines for application submission:

1. Mode of Application:
   • Applications must be submitted online via the proforma available on the POF website (www.pof.gov.pk) by December 2, 2024.
2. Additional Information:
   • Incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be entertained.
   • Candidates terminated on disciplinary grounds are not eligible to apply.

Selection Process

Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates will receive SMS notifications for interviews. It is mandatory to provide a non-converted active mobile number during application submission.

Interview Locations: Interviews will be conducted at Wah Cantt, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, and Quetta.

No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for attending interviews or tests.

Accommodation

Hostel accommodation will be available for selected candidates, subject to availability, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Terms and Conditions

Affidavit: Selected artisans must submit an affidavit on stamp paper worth Rs. 100, duly signed by their surety, committing to complete the training.

Employment:

• While employment is not guaranteed, successful apprentices may be absorbed into POFs based on available vacancies.
• Candidates selected for employment must sign a service bond to serve in POFs for a minimum of six years.

Bond Deduction: In case of failure to adhere to the bond agreement, candidates will be required to pay a penalty amounting to Rs. 85,000.
