Jinnah Sindh Medical University JSMU Residency Program Admissions 2025
Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) is pleased to announce that admissions are now open for the 4 Years Residency in Family Medicine program for the January 2025 session. This opportunity is aimed at qualified candidates looking to further their education and training in the field of family medicine.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the residency program, candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements.
Sindh Domicile: Applicants must be residents of Sindh.
Valid PMDC Registration: Candidates must hold a valid registration with the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
FCPS-1 Passing Certificate: Applicants should have successfully passed FCPS-1 in any of the following subjects:
- Medicine & Allied
- Surgery & Allied
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Paediatrics
- Community Medicine
- Psychiatry
Required Documents
Candidates are required to submit attested copies of the following documents along with their application form.
- FCPS-1 passing letter
- House job certificate
- CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
- Two passport-sized photographs (attested at the back)
- Sindh domicile certificate
- MBBS, HSC, SSC, or equivalent degrees
- Valid PMDC registration certificate
- NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the Head of Institution (if currently employed in government)
Application Process
- Form Availability: Candidates can obtain the application form from the official website www.jsmu.edu.pk.
- Submission: After filling out the form, applicants must courier the hardcopy, along with the required documents and a fee voucher of Rs. 5000, to the Office of Admissions.
- Selection: Admissions will be strictly based on merit. Candidates achieving 75% or more in the entry test will be shortlisted for multiple mini-interviews, with the final selection based on interview performance.

Important Points to Remember
- Government employees should apply through the proper channel and include an advance copy of their application along with the NOC from their department.
- No TA/DA (Travel Allowance/Daily Allowance) will be provided to candidates attending interviews.
