Important Notes for Applicants
- Program Verification:
It is the responsibility of the applicants to confirm their desired fields of study from the Hungarian universities and ensure alignment with their career goals. - Fields Requiring Special Approval:
Applicants applying for degrees in fields such as Medical Sciences, Nursing, Architecture, Psychology, Veterinary Medicine, Engineering, etc., must obtain verification or equivalence from relevant councils in Pakistan. - Ineligible Applicants:
Applicants holding dual nationalities or having previously benefited from a Hungarian scholarship are ineligible. - Document Submission at Later Stages:
Original hard copies of documents are not required during the initial application process. They may, however, be requested later.
Aptitude Test by HEC
The Education Testing Council (ETC) Pakistan will conduct the HEC Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) and Undergraduate Studies Aptitude Test (USAT) in January or mid-February 2025. Details regarding the test will be shared on the ETC website.

Mandatory Application Requirements
Applicants must adhere to the following requirements to ensure their eligibility:
- Dual Submission of Applications:
It is mandatory for applicants to submit their applications on both the Hungarian and HEC portals separately. Failure to complete this step will result in disqualification. - Submission on Hungarian Portal:
Visit the Hungarian portal at https://stipendiumhungaricum.hu/apply/. Create a profile, select “Hungarian Scholarship Programme,” and complete the application process. - Submission on HEC Portal:
Visit https://scholarship.hec.gov.pk. After submission, download and retain a copy of the application for future reference. - HEC Aptitude Test (HAT):
Applicants must appear for the HEC Aptitude Test. A minimum score of 50% is required to qualify. The test is mandatory for all applicants. - Nomination Process:
Only shortlisted candidates will be nominated to Tempus Public Foundation. HEC’s recommendations will be final and binding. - Documents Submission:
Applicants must upload all required documents and submit the online applications before the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. - Self-Financed Applications:
Submission of applications does not guarantee selection. HEC and Hungary reserve the right to cancel any application without assigning a reason.
