CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Launches Free 3-Marla Plot Scheme
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched several welfare programs to uplift underprivileged families in the province. These initiatives aim to improve living conditions, provide housing opportunities, and boost development in various sectors.
Maskan-e-Ravi ‘Zahra Homes -A Step Toward Affordable Housing
The Maskan-e-Ravi Housing Scheme, located in Kala Shah Kaku, is a landmark project designed to provide affordable and sustainable homes. The scheme includes 100 houses, each measuring 400 square feet. These homes are well-equipped with two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a courtyard, ensuring comfortable living for families.
The houses are built using TREND EPS Smart Panel Technology, making them earthquake-resistant, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly. Each house is powered by a 5 kW solar system, reducing energy costs and promoting green living.
Facilities for a Better Community
Maskan-e-Ravi offers essential community facilities, including:
- A reverse osmosis (RO) plant for clean drinking water.
- A school to ensure education for children.
- A playground for recreational activities.
- A mosque for spiritual needs.
- A dispensary for basic healthcare services.
These amenities are designed to create a self-sufficient and vibrant community.
Loan Program for Home Ownership
The Chief Minister has also approved Rs62 billion for the ‘Apni Chhat Apna Ghar’ program. This scheme provides loans to help individuals build or buy their own homes. By May, the government aims to provide loans to 40,000 people, making housing more accessible to deserving families.
The loan amounts are expected to increase from Rs1.5 million to Rs2 million, making the program even more beneficial. Already, 5,000 residents have availed of loans, and over 4,200 houses are nearing completion under this program.
Focus on Agriculture and Industrial Development
Maryam Nawaz is also focusing on improving Punjab’s agriculture and industrial sectors. The government has allocated additional resources for:
- Distributing tractors and farming equipment.
- Providing 2,000 discounted superseders to farmers by February 28.
These efforts aim to enhance agricultural productivity and support farmers across Punjab.
