Honhaar Scholarship Program Phase -2

The Honhaar Scholarship Program, one of Pakistan’s largest scholarship initiatives, offering annual scholarships of 30,000 PKR to students across 68 disciplines. It covers 65 government and private universities, 12 medical and dental colleges, and 359 colleges. This program emphasizes educational advancement. Honhaar Scholarship Program Phase-II is Scheduled to launch on December 4.

Honhaar Scholarship Phase-2 Announced by CM Punjab, the initiative aims to provide scholarships to 2,570 students, including 1,660 female students and 637 from minority communities. A total of 30,000 students will receive an annual scholarship of PKR 120,000 each. Key universities, including the University of Punjab, have already begun distributions. In Lahore alone, 1,886 scholarships are being granted as part of this program’s second phase.

Honhaar Scholarship Provisional Merit Lists Phase-I

Honhaar Scholarship Program 2024 Provisional merit lists are updated by the Program Committee. The merit list is subject to verification of documents and monthly family income as per eligibility criteria. The respective institutional scrutiny and verification committee as well as Provisional scrutiny and award committee will conduct Interview and verify the documents.

Honhaar Scholarship Interview Schedule

All candidates who are selected and their name is included in Provisional Merit List are directed to appear for the Interview and final verification of educational credentials as well as family income proof. The Interview Schedule detail is available in the respective merit lists.

The Honhaar Scholarship initiative is a part of the promises made by Maryam Nawaz Sharif to ensure high-quality education for deserving students in Punjab.
Under the Honhaar Scholarship Program, 30,000 students will be awarded scholarships annually across 68 districts. 50 black Sector University students will receive scholarships, along with 131 graduates in 16 major fields.

Currently Honhaar Scholarship applications are closed. Today meeting of Scrutiny and Award Committee of Chief Minister Honnahaar Scholarship program was held today at Higher Education Department (HED), Lahore under the convenorship of Special Secretary HED Mr. Munib-ur-Rehman. In the meeting transparent and fair scrutiny process discussed. Eligible students will inform shortly about their Scholarship.

HONHAAR SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM APPLY ONLINE


The Honhaar Scholarship Program will offer Rs. 130,000 per year to the selected students, covering their expenses for 8 years.
The program will expand to benefit 4 million students over the next 4 years, with a target of 20 million scholarships being awarded.
Students can apply for scholarships by visiting Honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for this scholarship program , students should fulfil the following criteria.

  • Have domicile from any district of the Punjab
  • Not be older than 22 years of age on closing date
  • Family monthly income should be less than Rs 300,000 (Affidavit Required) (Download Sample Affidavit)
  • The Applicant must be enrolled in Selected Disciplines in the Selected Universities / Colleges in fall session 2024. The newly enrolled MBBS and BDS students in 2024 will also be eligible for this scholarship program.
  • Minimum FSc./Intermediate marks:
  • Medical Colleges > 80%
  • Top Universities > 80%
  • Public Sector Universities > 75% for Sciences and > 70% for Arts and Social Sciences.
  • HED Colleges > 65% for Sciences and > 60% for Arts and Social Sciences.

What is Scholarship Coverage

The Punjab Govt Honhaar Scholarship program will cover 100% tuition fee. The Punjab Government will bear the cost.

How to Apply for Honhaar Scholarship

First of all student should register on Honhaar Scholarship Portal https://honhaarscholarship.punjabhec.gov.pk/. Open the portal and then follow the below steps.

  • Click on the Login Button ( right side of the portal). A Sign in/ Register window will open.

  • Click on Register button and then create an Account. Enter your CNIC , Institute name and email address. After filling all fields,click on submit button.Remember the password for future login.

  • Now again visit the Portal home page ,click on Apply and sign in with your CNIC and password.
  • An application form will open , enter the details in all fields step by step and submit your application.
  • The application form consist on personal details , address, education , employment status , parent details , family members , asset income , expenditures , transport , documents , review.

  • After submission , a confirmation email will send on registered email address.

How to Check Honhaar Scholarship Application Status

The Honhaar Scholarship scheme closed on 18th October 2024. Now Higher Education Department Punjab will scrutinise the applications and prepare merit accordingly. The successful candidates will informed through email and SMS. Stay alert and check email and SMS on daily basis.

The next Batch of Honhaar Scholarship Program 2025 yet not announced. There is no official updates about new batch,however Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz approved the Laptop Scheme and Youth Sports Scholarships program,which will start soon.
